Midwifery Service

The practice patients are looked after by our Midwives based at the Okehampton Hub.

Expectant mothers will often meet with their GP's at the point of confirmation of the pregnancy. Following initial assessment a referral will be made for a booking visit with the Midwife. A more detailed risk assessment will be made and patients assigned to midwife or hospital led care.

Referrals are made at this point for subsequent 11 week dating and 20 week detailed scans at the hospital.
