at Cheriton Bishop & Teign Valley Practice, we are committed to
providing the best care possible to each and every one of our patients.
However, recently we have noticed an increace in appointments not being
attended with no or little notice, this affects not only our ability to
serve you, but also the access we can offer to others in need.
In the past month alone, 86 appointments have been missed or cancelled without sufficient notice, which has equated to nearly 19 hours of valuable time that could have been used to treat other patients.
We
fully understand that life happens, and there are sometimes unavoidable
situations. However, missed appointments without adequate notice create
significant disruptions. Each missed appointment is a lost opportunity
to help someone else who may need care. This is especially critical in a
healthcare enviroment where access and timely services can make a
difference in patient outcomes.
How You Can Help:
We encourange all our patients to help us reduce the number of wasted appointments by:
1. Providing Notice:
If you can no longer attend your appointment, please let us know at
least 24 hours in advance so we can offer the slot to another patient.
2. Using Appointment Reminders: Take advantage of our reminder services via phone or text to ensure your appointment is on your calendar.
